The last couple days have been a live wire of Star Wars Episode IX casting news. With the announcement of former Doctor Who star Matt Smith taking over a role in the upcoming series entry, fans were already getting excited. Now, it appears that one of the side characters from The Force Awakens will return for the latest chapter in the saga. Heroes alumni Greg Grunberg is returning as X-Wing pilot Snap Wexley.
Initially introduced in Chuck Wendig's novel, Aftermath, Temmin 'Snap' Wexley was trained by none other than the amazing pilot Wedge Antilles. Although he didn't appear in the divisive The Last Jedi, he will be back in a supposedly bigger role in the final entry in the Skywalker saga. Considering his longtime friendship with director J.J. Abrams, it's no surprise that he's making a return journey to the galaxy far, far away.
