News: Jon Hamm is Interested in Batman Role

First things first. Let's cut this one off at the pass. He's not been cast in the role and no discussions are currently happening. Yet, many fans would love to see him take over if there's an opening in the DC Universe.

When Jon Hamm was recently interviewed by The Hollywood Reporter, he stated that he's definitely interested in taking over as Batman, however we'll preface this with a quote from Hamm himself, "I have never had a conversation with anybody about it. Literally."

However, the star of Mad Men has expressed firm interest in taking over the role dependent on what happens in the future.

When speaking with writer Graham Bensinger from THR, the dramatic star says he's a fan of the Batman comic books and he would definitely be interested in donning the Batsuit if the offer was made. When discussing the possibility, he had this to say:

"It depends on the script, what the story is. I am a huge comic book fan, always have been. I've read comic books since I was 9 or younger. And I'm pretty knowledgeable about a lot of them. And I like the genre, and I like when they're done well."

He also added this:

"I'd probably fit the suit. I'd have to work out a lot, which I don't love. But, I am sure there's an interesting version of that being out there. And if they wanted to tap me on the shoulder and ask me to do it, why not?"
