News: More Silence: John Krasinski To Pen A Quiet Place Sequel

From out of nowhere, John Krasinski wrote, directed and starred in one of the biggest and best horror/thrillers of the year. Now after a bit of a break from the world of A Quiet Place, Krasinski has revealed that he will be penning the script for the upcoming sequel. The film is scheduled to hit theaters on May 15, 2020. Initially he thought that he wouldn't be back to help out on part two but had a small idea for the continuation. After pitching his concept, the studio decided he would be the best person to revisit the potential franchise:

“They heard some pitches, and I told Andrew Form (producer) about this little idea. And he told me to think about it a little longer. And then I thought, ‘This might really work.’ So, I’m currently writing the sequel.”

The original film grossed $334 million worldwide against a small budget of only $17 million. Needless to say, the studio was immediately ready to begin development on the sequel.
