BREAKING: Disney Rehires James Gunn for Guardians Vol. 3

Deadline has reported that James Gunn is on board once more to direct Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3. Gunn was fired from the upcoming project last summer by Disney amidst the uncovering of several questionable tweets joking about sensitive topics such as rape and pedophilia, that Gunn had posted years nearly ten years prior, which he has since publicly apologized for in a profuse manner. Production on the Guardians threequel will reportedly start after Gunn is completed with Suicide Squad 2, which he is reportedly writing and rumored to direct. Gunn wrote a script before his firing, which, naturally, will still be used in the upcoming film. There is no expected release date for either film as of yet.
