Creepshow News: Adrienne Barbeau, Tobin Bell, and Giancarlo Esposito Join Shudder's Anthology


Perhaps the biggest and best horror anthology of the '80s is Creepshow. Recently announced, the property will once again see the light of day as a new series on Shudder, the horror streaming outlet. Now today brings news that the first episode will feature three amazing actors, one of which was in the movie version of Creepshow. Adrienne Barbeau, who starred in the the 1982 movie from Stephen King and George Romero will now be starring in the first chapter of the series. Both Giancarlo Esposito (Breaking Bad) and Tobin Bell (Saw) will also join here on the premiere episode. 

The first episode "Grey Matter" is written by Stephen King and will be directed by show runner Greg Nicotero (The Walking Dead). The story was initially featured in King's anthology, Night Shift which tells the tale of two gentleman who brave a terrible storm to check up on their friend Richie. 

The upcoming six segment series will feature two chapters per episode and is set to be an exclusive series for Shudder. This follows the current trend of numerous anthology series like the Twilight Zone relaunch, Black Mirror and several more.
