Streaming News: Hulu to Air New Ghost Rider Series Focused on Robbie Reyes

Hulu confirmed today that they have greenlit two new Marvel series: one focusing on the Robbie Reyes iteration of Ghost Rider (sorry, Johnny Blaze fans!); and the other adapting from Marvel's Helstrom.  Gabriel Luna has confirmed he will be reprising his role as the Ghost Rider from his time on Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.- although this is being touted as a completely new and separate story not connected to the latter in any way. These have been announced in addition to the four other adult animated Marvel series already in the works with Hulu: M.O.D.O.K., Hit-Monkey, Howard the Duck, and Tigra & Dazzler; along with an eventual team-up titled The Offenders.

Hulu's presentation introducing the two new additions gave more details on the new Ghost Rider show:
Marvel’s Ghost Rider, also known as Robbie Reyes, is a quintessential antihero, consumed by hellfire and supernaturally bound to a demon. Reyes lives on the Texas/Mexico border and when he unleashes the Rider, Robbie brings vengeance for the innocents he encounters, but struggles to control the power he wields.
Helstrom's title character was initially introduced as an antagonist in 1973 with Ghost Rider #1, but was then turned into its own series initially titled Son of Satan before being changed to just Hellstorm. No other stars have been confirmed for either series. Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D producer and Marvel Television head Jeff Loeb is serving as executive producer to both series, with Paul Zbyszewski serving as showrunner to Helstrom. With all these new Marvel shows confirmed from Hulu, it looks like a new generation for comic book series is upon us.
