Breaking Super News: Avengers Endgame Getting Theatrical Re-Release with Post-Credits Goodies

In what is no doubt a last-minute ditch effort to topple Avatar's reign as the highest grossing movie of all time, Kevin Feige announced today that Avengers: Endgame, the latest global box office phenomenon that gave closure to an eleven year buildup, will be re-released into general theaters with some additional material added in as a post-credits scene, in traditional Marvel fashion.

"Not an extended cut," says, Feige, "but there will be a version going into theaters with a bit of a marketing push with a few new things at the end of the movie. If you stay and watch the movie, after the credits, there’ll be a deleted scene, a little tribute, and a few surprises."

The more likely reason for Endgame's re-release is an effort to overthrow Avatar's ten-year record as the highest grossing film of all time. The 2009 global record-setter made $2.78 billion during its release time in theaters, and at just earning $2.74 billion globally, Endgame's push for a revitalized box office cume just might be enough to become the new reigning champion.

There's no doubt that thousands of fans will likely flock back to the theater to experience the new material, but will you be joining them? Only time will tell if this move will give Marvel the slight push they needed to get to the top.
