Trek Talk: Levar Burton Expects Geordi La Forge To Appear on Picard

With all the attention on the upcoming Picard series on CBS All Access right around the corner now, the news cycle has been reporting on Next Generation characters that might pop in on the show. Now, Levar Burton has spoken out and says that he thinks he'll be making an appearance along with many others, although they probably won't appear together or at the same time.

When asked about a guest spot on Picard, he had this to say:

"Each of us, I would say certainly, right?  It is unreasonable to assume that he doesn’t know those people anymore, or that he stopped talking to them. And if he did there’s good storytelling in why.  Are you gonna see all of us together, again, in a scene or episode? I don’t know.  There’s a lot of paper that needs to be papered, before we get there.”

Star Trek: The Next Generation ran for seven seasons on television, four more than the classic Star Trek. Then it went on to a string of successful theatrical releases but eventually bowed out after the financial failures of Star Trek: Nemesis which saw a young Tom Hardy play the central antagonist. This will be the first time Patrick Stewart reprises the role of Jean-Luc Picard on film since 2002.
