Expectations are beginning to rise for the fourth Matrix film. With Keanu Reeves and Carrie Anne Moss already aboard the latest venture into the future world of the Matrix, it was revealed earlier today that Neil Patrick Harris has signed on for an undisclosed role in the upcoming science fiction action film. Now, Deadline is reporting that another actor might be back on board the saga. Tonight, it's being said that Jada Pinkett Smith will be reprising her role as Niobe in The Matrix 4!! While she hasn't quite signed yet, she's in discussions to return. This is another really cool development for the Wachowski project.
The next movie is said to begin filming in early 2020 with no plot details released yet. The trilogy originally went on to make $1.6 billion globally and remains a discussion point among sci-fi and action fans to this day. If casting continues this way, it'll be a neat reunion for the original stars.
