As the streaming wars rage on, we hear a voice in the distance. They say: "In brightest day, in darkest night, no DC Comics IP will escape Warner Brothers green light!" HBO Max today announced plans for a Green Lantern series and a Strange Adventures series.
Both shows will be produced by Greg Berlanti, familiar to fans as the super-producer behind all the DC shows on CW. Green Lantern is being described as the most ambitious production DC television has done yet and Strange Adventures is described as a one hour anthology series set in a world with superpowers.
Green Lantern has long been a property that DC has been trying to get done right and this series may just be it. As of now, there is no word yet on which Lantern the series will focus on or whether it will be set in the DCEU, the Arrowverse, or wherever Titans takes place but we can probably imagine that it won't be a sequel to the 2011 Ryan Reynolds film.
