Superman Returns: The CW Developing Superman & Lois Lane Series

The CW is continuing their long line of DC based series with a brand new show that will focus on Superman and Lois. Current star Tyler Hoechlin will be reprising his role as Clark Kent in the new project that's in early development at the outlet. Elizabeth Tulloch will also be coming back for the latest version of the two characters when they finally get it off the ground. With so many DC properties already on the station, it's no surprise that they're looking to further milk Superman & Lois. Former Flash showrunner Todd Helbing is being tapped to write and produce. He's also the one taking care of getting the script to pilot. Apparently, they're going to try and backdoor the first episode into the final season of Arrow.

This isn't the first time there's been chatter about Hoechlin getting his own show on the CW. But it looks like fans of Superman might finally get their wish. While the idea is still early in development, we know that they're always looking for new DC content to launch. Even with low ratings on many of their series, a Superman show seems ripe for the picking right now, especially with so much confusion still running rampant in the DC film universe.
