News From Middle Earth: Lord of the Rings Series Adds Game of Thrones Alum Robert Aramayo

Perhaps one of the most exciting things coming to Amazon in the near future is their upcoming Lord of the Rings series. Initially announced way back in 2017, the show is finally gearing up for production. Current estimates show that the new release could run a massive budget that will cross the $1 billion mark. Amazon is reportedly planning at least five seasons for the Tolkien based series. It will take place during the Second Age, which is set before the events of the original Lord of the Rings books and movies.

Now, with actor Will Poulter bowing out of the his role, Game of Thrones alum Robert Aramayo has stepped in to take over as the young hero, Beldor. He was previously featured as young Ned Stark on HBO's hit adaptation of GOT. Currently, the series is slated to hit sometime in 2021 with its first season. We can't wait to see where this one goes, my precious.
