No More Silence: CBS To Continue Clarice Starling's Story in New TV Series

As many fans continue to hold out hope for a return to the televised Hannibal series, it looks as though CBS is putting out their very own project related to The Silence of The Lambs. The major television network is currently developing a show that will expand further on the character of Clarice Starling. The upcoming extension of the Thomas Harris book series will take place in 1993, a year after the events of The Silence of the Lambs. She will return to the field to continue her pursuit of serial killers as she still works through the "high stakes political world of Washington D.C.".

The show is being written and produced by Alex Kurtzman and Jenny Lumet. It's already been given a series commitment by CBS and will apparently go into production very soon as a writer's room has already been set up for the series. There has been no announcement on casting quite yet. Hopefully they can properly work out the details as to not walk on the events of the book sequel, Hannibal.
