Totally Logical: Spock and Pike Discovery Spin-Off May Happen at CBS All Access

Despite a split fan response to the first couple seasons of Star Trek: Discovery on CBS All Access, the show has proven to be quite a success story for the streaming outlet. Now, at the second half of their Television Critics Association Day, Original Content producer Julie McNamara took to the stage and said that one of the possibilities they're looking at is a spin-off that would feature Spock and Pike in their own adventures, once again adding more to the already massive influx of new Star Trek content that's coming out. With season 3 taking place in the Federation's far off future, the two characters will apparently not be featured. When asked about the possibility of them getting a show, this is what she had to say:

“We’ve definitely heard fans that people are excited about the notion of that. We have heard them loud and clear. We also thought there was incredible chemistry around that bridge crew so among many things that we talk about, that idea is certainly one of them.”

A spin-off surrounding Michelle Yeoh's character is currently in the works as well as the upcoming Picard. It's a good time to be a fan of Star Trek!
