Mad Max 5: The Wasteland Reportedly Set to Start Production in Fall 2020

Spanning multiple decades and two different actors in the role, it looks like the long awaited Mad Max: The Wasteland is set to finally get rolling down that dusty road. Last night and today word finally broke that George Miller is set to begin work on the next entry in the ever expanding franchise about a road weary Max and his journey throughout the post apocalyptic wasteland. Tom Hardy is of course set to reprise his role with no other casting announcements made as of yet.

The original movie Mad Max was released way back in 1979 and has become a classic action film. It was followed by The Road Warrior and Beyond Thunderdome. Years later, Miller revisited the world of Mad Max with Fury Road, a continuation that saw Hardy take over the iconic character from Mel Gibson.

The Wasteland looks to be set for filming in Australia in the fall of 2020 but is yet to be fully confirmed. However, numerous reliable sources including NME have reported that it looks to finally be set for a start date.

We look forward to seeing where this goes. Fury Road is going to be a hard act to follow, but we have great faith in Miller. He owns this.
