Galactic News: Synopsis Revealed For Cassian Andor Star Wars Series on Disney+


While every project under the two suns of Tattooine have been put on hold due to the coronavirus outbreak, we're at least getting some cool Star Wars news the past couple days. With the reports that Rosario Dawson was taking up the role of Ahsoka Tano breaking the internet, we're also starting to get some info on the upcoming Cassian Andor series on the streaming outlet. Last year it was reported that Diego Luna would return to the galaxy far, far away to once again take up arms against the rising Empire in a show that will serve as a prequel to Rogue One. At this time, it's being reported that all projects are being delayed while we wait for the world to begin healing from the current crisis, but this is a small reward that lets us see where they're going with the series:

"Follows the adventures of Rebel spy Cassian Andor during the formative years of the Rebellion and prior to the events of Rogue One: A Star Wars Story. Diego Luna will reprise the role of Andor, which he originated in the 2016 film. The rousing spy thriller will explore tales filled with espionage and daring missions to restore hope to a galaxy in the grip of a ruthless Empire."

Tony Gilroy will be working as a director and writer on the project with The Americans Stephen Schiff attached as the show runner. We'll update as we hear more!
