News From The Upside Down: Murray Bauman Becomes Series Regular in Stranger Things Season 4

We've got some great news from the Stranger Things camp today. The character of Murray Bauman played by Brett Gelman in season 2 and 3 of the show will be getting quite the upgrade when the show returns. Instead of being relegated to a supporting side character, Bauman will be getting series regular status for the final full season of the Netflix series. Obviously, his role in the third year gave him much more fat to chew on. But now it looks like he'll be receiving star status when ST returns later on this year. Gelman has also seen quite a bit of success with the Amazon series Fleabag which took home Golden Globes, Emmys and Critics Choices Awards.

Stranger Things has been a runaway hit for Netflix with season 3 continuing to do amazing numbers for the streaming provider. It's been widely reported that the fourth and final season will be broken up into two separate parts ala Breaking Bad. Gelman is also set to play the villain in the upcoming Tom Clancy spy thriller, Without Remorse
