Delay My Name: Nia DaCosta's Candyman Moved To The Fall

What a strange few weeks it's been. With the coronavirus outbreak not seeming to go anywhere soon, the upcoming Hollywood slate has basically been wiped clean of nearly all summer releases. Considering we don't know how and when it will end, the big studios are doing their best to try and save their bigger budget films by pushing their calendars forward to try and protect their investments. Now, the latest film to receive a move is Nia DaCosta's upcoming spiritual continuation of the Candyman horror series. With word of mouth building towards the upcoming release and genre fans foaming at the mouth to see what's up with the updated tale of the urban myth, we're going to need to find some patience as the movie won't be hitting its intended date.

Initially scheduled for a June 12, 2020 theatrical run, it's now been pushed until September 25th. In turn might be a better release date as it will probably gain more Halloween horror traction with it falling closer in proximity to the holiday. We're sure this won't be the last movie to get moved as the health crisis continues.
