Horror Gaming: Ruggero Deodato and Fantastico Studio to Release Cannibal Holocaust Video Game

To celebrate 40 years of Ruggero Deodato's found footage flesh eating classic Cannibal Holocaust, he's paired with Fantastico Studio to release a brand new video game based on the movie. It will serve as a fourth chapter in the director's "cannibals cycle". The game is currently slated for a November 2020 release on Nintendo Switch, PS4, Xbox One, PC, and mobile platforms.

“Cannibal is an interactive horror graphic adventure made with Unity, with the direction and script of Ruggero Deodato, and the original drawings of Solo Macello, in which the player will take control of different characters, to reveal, little by little, the background that led them to a desperate expedition to the virgin jungles of Borneo. And of course, get to discover the end of the story, destined to shake from the foundations every certainty acquired during the game.”

Deodato's first cannibal film was the 1977 Jungle Holocaust which was followed by Cannibal Holocaust in 1980 then Cut and Run in 1985.
