Love and Thunder: Chris Hemsworth Confirms Thor 4 Is On Hold

It seems like every day we get another announcement about a major studio film that's been put on hold, delayed, or shuttered due to the growing health crisis.

The latest project to be hampered by the coronavirus is the fourth Thor movie, Love and Thunder. Chris Hemsworth, star of last week's Netflix release of Extraction says that work on the movie is on indefinite hold as things start to shake out and people figure out how to continue dealing with the virus. Disney has been unfortunately forced to make numerous changes to Phase 4 of the Marvel Cinematic Universe's slated schedule. Initially set to premiere in November 2021, Love and Thunder has been rescheduled to February 2022 barring any more unforeseen circumstances.

When speaking with ExtraTV and asked about the project, Hemsworth positively reacted and had this to say about Thor being delayed:

"I was supposed to shoot Thor in a few months, and that's sort of been put on hold. But that was gonna be in Australia. So I was gonna be in Oz for a while. Now it’s nice just to be home with the kids."
