The CW is gearing up for its new Superman show with some more casting news this week. It was just announced a couple days ago that former Nip/Tuck star Dylan Walsh had signed on to star as General Lane in the upcoming new series that will see the televised return of Clark Kent and Lois Lane. Now, news has broken via Deadline that the female counterpart from HBO's previous series Entourage has officially joined the series as Lana Lang. Emanuelle Chriqui will be taking up the role of Lana when the series begins to air on The CW. The role was previously played by Kristen Kreuk on Smallville from 2001-2011.

In the new series, Lang will be a loan officer at a Smallville bank. She remains behind when many others have left the small town for big city life. Lana will rekindle her friendship with Clark as she struggles through some of life's problems. Initially scheduled for production, the latest incarnation of Superman has been delayed due to the Covid-19 health crisis but will go from just being an ordered pilot to filming its entire season at once.
