Re-Enter The Matrix: Directors Chad Stahelski and David Leitch Return for Stunt Work on The Matrix 4

Before Chad Stahelski and David Leitch both worked on the John Wick series, they were both doing stunt directing for tons of big budget films. Their respective resumes on IMDB are a massive library of huge studio projects.  Also, they had both previously worked with the Wachowskis on the original three Matrix films. And now it looks like they've both been asked back to coordinate the stunt sequences for the upcoming fourth film which will see the return of Neo and Trinity. When speaking with Collider, Stahelski says that the project is "incredibly fun" and that fans of the three existing films are "going to love this" and that it's "coming back with a vengeance".

Leitch recently directed Hobbs and Shaw and Deadpool 2. Stahelski directed all three John Wick films and is currently working on a remake of Highlander which was recently announced. The two are working on conceptual work for the action sequences for The Matrix 4, helping out with choreography and training. Stahelski had this to say to Collider:

It’s more about the creative concept of some of the choreography and backing them up with stuff. Other than the Matrixes, most of their stuff…what makes Lana so great is she directs her own action. We’ve had second unit directors on some of the Matrixes just because of the logistics involved. But of late, and especially on Matrix 4, she’s directing her own action. The second units for them are mostly establishing shots, the B-sides of the some of the compositions for some locations. But Lana, she does her own action. She weaves it into the main unit stuff, which is why their stuff looks so good.
