This Whole World Is A Story: HBO Renews Westworld For A Fourth Season

Having just premiered a few weeks ago, the third season of Westworld is in full swing but will be ending in May. Although numbers faltered a bit for the series, HBO is standing behind their science fiction show and granting it another season. Today it was announced that the cable giant has officially renewed Westworld for a fourth set of episodes. The President of HBO programming Casey Bloys had this to say:

"From the western theme park to the technocratic metropolis of the near future, we've thoroughly enjoyed every twist and turn from the minds of master storytellers Jonathan Nolan and Lisa Joy. We can't wait to see where their inspired vision takes us next."

The first year of the show was a huge success for HBO which ended up spawing a second season that was not as well received as the first. Coming back for a third year it seemed to get back some of what made the original season so special. In many ways, it almost rebooted the series while continuing on its futuristic themes about artificial intelligence. It looks like fans will be happy today as Westworld will most likely follow the trend of five seasons on its home base.
