Zoinks!!!! Warner Bros.' Scoob! Heading Directly to VOD This May

With so many big releases being delayed, rescheduled, or just moved around, it looks like Warner Bros. is the next to find another way to adapt to the current trends. Their new animated Scooby Doo feature is officially being pulled from the theatrical slate and will now premiere on streaming services this May! The Hollywood Reporter has posted that the new feature will hit on the 15th with two different price points, $19.99 and $24.99. The lower cost will be for rental and the second will be to own the digital version of the movie. Warner Bros. chairman Ann Sarnoff had this to say:

“While we’re all eager to be able to once again show our films in theaters, we’re navigating new, unprecedented times which call for creative thinking and adaptability in how we distribute our content. We know fans are eager to see Scoob! and we’re delighted we can deliver this feel-good movie for families to enjoy while they’re home together.”

This new iteration of the classic Scooby Doo crew is a return to the animated form for the characters. The last couple cinematic versions have been live action movies which still seem to have quite a following. In the new movie, they'll be teaming up with other characters from the Hanna-Barbera catalog to battle a new foe, Dick Dastardly.
