Galactic News: New Doctor Aphra Issue #1 Gets A Digital Release For Star Wars Day


For Star Wars fans across the galaxy, tomorrow is the biggest holiday of the year. Yes. Bigger than Christmas! On May 4th, fans celebrate Star Wars day by watching movies, reading comics, and trying to find the latest collectibles. The Rise of Skywalker will also be hitting the Disney+ streaming platform 8 weeks early. Plus, the final episode of The Clone Wars will be available for viewing. Now, it's been announced that Marvel comics is also doing and advanced release. Their new Doctor Aphra comic book issue #1 will be revealed by Marvel in the digital format. This is a brand new series of comic books that will start Aphra over with a brand new crew and mission. 

Doctor Aphra first appeared in the Star Wars: Darth Vader comics and eventually led to her own series. The new batch will be written by Alyssa Wong with art by Marika Cresta. This latest return for the character will take place between The Empire Strikes Back and Return of the Jedi and sees the Rebel Alliance "on the run after their defeat at the Battle of Hoth". Physical copies of the first issue will be available on May 27th.
