As one of my personal favorite genres, it's always great to hear news of new science fiction movies. During the pandemic stay at home order, any positive news definitely puts a smile on our collective faces.
It was revealed this weekend that James Wan will not be helping produce a film version of Frank M. Robinson's time travel story Hunting Grounds. The tale first appeared in Astounding Science Fiction Magazine in 1951 and will now be turned into a full length feature from John Wick scribe Derek Kolstad who is currently working up the screenplay. From the initial report we got a small synopsis that's as follows:
“Hunting Season will follow a law officer from the future who is declared an enemy of the state and sentenced to be executed by that society’s method of choice: sent to the past where they are stalked by a posse. The man has three days to acclimate to our time and a find a way to survive.”
