Cult favorite Yorgos Lanthimos has a new project on the way, coming from New Regency. And he's not alone. Lanthimos is re-teaming with the screenwriter of The Favourite, Tony McNamara, to adapt The Hawkline Monster for the big screen.
The Hawkline Monster is the story of two gunslingers who are hired to kill a monster living in the ice caves under a house but then find out there is more than meets the eye in this house. It seems like the perfect fit for these two to work on. This is the third attempt at adapting this novel, the first two were attempted by Hal Ashby and Tim Burton. Hopefully, third times the charm.
