After Star Wars:The Rise of Skywalker released to theaters, many fans had been hopeful to see some of the heroes of the sequel trilogy return for continued adventures. While the ninth episode ended the Skywalker saga, it was left open ended for the main players to return, even as Lucasfilm claimed that this would most likely be the end for Poe, Finn, and Rey. Now, Oscar Isaac has officially shot down any hope of seeing him come back to Star Wars for any further movies. In fact, when speaking with Deadline, the actor says he's basically done doing high profile spectacle films and is aiming more towards building up his dramatic resume with smaller, more artful features. When discussing Star Wars and blockbuster features he had this to say about closing out this chapter:

“Probably, but who knows. If I need another house or something. I’ve felt like I had been a man in a desert for many years because I’ve been serving these bigger films.I enjoyed the challenge of those films and working with a very large group of incredible artists and actors, prop makers, set designers, and all that was really fun.”

Episode IX was a critical dud but still managed to rake in the dough during its cinematic run. It quickly hit the home video market and continues to sell copies in the 4K and blu-ray formats. The film ended up grossing over a billion dollars during its theatrical release.
