The World of Wick: Chloe Grace Moretz Tapped for John Wick Spin-Off, Ballerina

The violent world of John Wick continues to spin off new ideas for the series. With a new television show called The Continental telling the tale of numerous Wick background characters, another movie is on the way that will take a female perspective on the saga. Ballerina, which will be produced by Chad Stahelski and directed by Len Wiseman, is said to take a new perspective on the continued series of films. And apparently, they're saying it will be just as action-centric as the Wick movies with some new spins on how they've gone so far. Stahelski had this to say to The Hollywood Reporter when discussing Wiseman's attachment as director:

“Having him on board and approaching some of the action design from a slightly different perspective, meaning the set pieces, the character involvement, how and what he wants to do during the action sequences, makes it kind of fresh. So, we’re not just copying ourselves over and over again with gun-fu or something like that. And because the character is different, we’re going to get a different take on things.”

Ballerina is said to center on a female assassin who seeks vengeance against the people that killed her family. Although the basic story idea seems very similar to so many other revenge projects, it's now circulating that Chloe Grace Moretz is all but fully attached to star in the movie. That in itself will be an amazing choice as she's repeatedly proven herself to be a dynamic force and excellent during choreographed fight scenes. We can't wait.
