Released ten years ago, Scott Pilgrim vs the World continues to build momentum as a cult hit. And now while it's celebrating its tenth anniversary, Edgar Wright says that the property might be getting a continuation of shorts in the form of an animated project. Fans of the movie have been demanding a sequel for years with Michael Cera even showing interest in returning to the character for a continuation. However, it's looking more and more like Scott Pilgrim might end up skirting another live action movie and will get fans riled up with an anime version of the characters from the Bryan Lee O'Malley graphic novels.

When speaking with Entertainment Weekly about the film's anniversary and how fans adore it, Wright had this to say:

"There's some plans and there's nothing official yet, but there are some plans to revisit the material in an animation way. We've been talking with Bryan and with Jared for a while about: What if we did something with the books in anime form? It's being discussed as we speak."

We think it's really obvious that this could work out really well for the animated translation. Considering its source material, this might be a better way to go if they plan on continuing forward with more Pilgrim. And if they can get the original cast back to voice their characters, it could be way cooler.

In the meantime....here's some Garbage Truck to tide you over.....
