While the world continues to reel over the effects of the coronavirus, we're finally starting to get some good news out of Hollywood. With nearly every theater in the U.S. still closed down, some creators have been on the sidelines developing new projects, new content, and have been deep in the lab coming up with more inevitable sequels. And the latest one is Jason Reitman, son of Ivan Reitman, who is currently finishing up work on his new Ghostbusters film called Afterlife. Fans have been anxiously awaiting this next chapter in the franchise that will see the return of many of the classic original cast. Now, he says that he's been toiling over what will come after the eventual release and that he's already stewed on new ways to go for another movie after the almost guaranteed success that Afterlife will see.

When speaking with Josh Gad on Reunited Apart, the director had this to say about how the quarantine has pushed him to start thinking about more Ghostbusters movies:

“I can’t tell you anything, but we are working on another installment. We have a little bit more time, and look, as a director, I’ve never had this opportunity to actually take a pause and breathe and look at the movie again.”

Ghostbusters:Afterlife has been pushed to a March 19th, 2021 release due tot he pandemic. Hopefully, by next year things can start to get back to normal for everyone including the movie going public! We just hope that Rick Moranis makes a comeback after being gone for so long!
