Galactic News: Disney+ Orders Clone Wars Spin-Off, The Bad Batch

Well, it seems like it's time for us to break some good news to our loyal readership.

It looks like Disney+ is adding more to their already stellar Star Wars lineup. Today, news broke that The Clone Wars animated series is getting a spin-off in the form of a new show called The Bad Batch. Based on a crew of clone troopers that have different DNA from their counterparts, the crew of troops quickly became a thing for loyalists to the show. Now, they're getting their very own cartoon which will appear sometime in 2021. We have no specific date yet, but we're excited nonetheless. Any new Star Wars is great news especially when it helps build upon the pre-New Hope era.

Agnes Chu, senior vice president of the streaming outlet, had this to say about the new animated show:

“Giving new and existing fans the final chapter of ‘Star Wars: The Clone Wars’ has been our honor at Disney+, and we are overjoyed by the global response to this landmark series. While the Clone Wars may have come to its conclusion, our partnership with the groundbreaking storytellers and artists at Lucasfilm Animation is only beginning. We are thrilled to bring Dave Filoni’s vision to life through the next adventures of the Bad Batch.”
