Although the next Thor movie, Love and Thunder has been sidelined for a little while due to the coronavirus outbreak, director Taika Waititi is still working away on the script. Initially scheduled for a November 2021 release date, the movie has been officially pushed to February 2022 as Marvel continues to make headway on developing more movies in their next phase of their cinematic universe. Waititi had previously directed Thor:Ragnarok. Due to the movie's great success with fans and critics, he was asked back to develop and direct the follow up which will see the return of Natalie Portman in her role as Jane Foster. Tessa Thompson is also returning as Valkyrie and of course Chris Hemsworth will be back as a post-Endgame Thor.

When speaking with the BBC about the fourth Thor movie (a first for any solo character in the MCU), Waititi says he's finished his script but is still working out kinks in the story. So, while things are shut down he's "doing another pass at it". Himself and co-writer Jennifer Kaytin Robinson have been hard at work together finalizing the project which Waititi says is very romantic. He expanded:

"It is so insane and also very romantic. I’m into romances now. I just want to make a romance. I want to make something that I’ve never done or never cared for. I would like to attack something like that."

This could be an interesting spin considering most MCU movies have been firmly action-centric. We can't wait to see how he spins this one and potentially gives us the best Thor movie yet!
