Zero Mission: Brie Larson Really Wants To Play Samus in a Live Action Metroid

Brie Larson has continually showed interest in playing the central character of Samus in a live action film based on Metroid. Prior to her role as Captain Marvel, the actress had discussed her love for the game and how she would love to take up the character if it were ever brought to the big screen. Back in 2018 she even posted an image of herself dressed as Samus for Halloween. Over the years, the game has received several different versions and sequels centered on the space bounty hunter. While no real prospective scripts have been produced as of yet, Larson continues to push for the game to be translated to the big screen as she has a hardcore interest in portraying Samus in a film.

In a recent episode of Animal Talking via Game Rant, the actress discussed her wishes again in a little more detail. When Metroid was mentioned, the actor's ears perked up and she talked a bit more about her ambitions towards seeing it in cinemas:

"I would love that so much. She was always my character that I played in Super Smash Bros., and I just loved her. I definitely want to make that movie, definitely want to participate in that. So Nintendo, once again, I'd love to do it."

While no current plans are underway, it would be a really cool game to movie translation that would definitely make Nintendo a LOT of money.
