Dead By Dawn: John Wick's Chad Stahelski Wants To Direct The Blade Reboot

What an amazing turn of events this could be. The director of the John Wick series wants to take on another action property. And this time, he says he really would like to be the man behind the camera for the upcoming reboot of Blade. Just a little while ago it was announced that dramatic star Mahershala Ali would be strapping on some swords to star in Marvel's newest relaunch of the vampire bad ass. And now, the guy that's made three amazing John Wick chronicles is apparently very interested in taking on the project. While word has not been updated in a while due to the pandemic, it's estimated that the Blade relaunch will be one of Marvel's next launching pads in the near future.

The Blade movies were based on the 1973 Marvel comic series which was eventually translated to screen with Wesley Snipes serving as the fang toothed  slayer of bad guys. The first film made over $131 million for the studio. Two sequels followed and the series died. With someone like Stahelski taking over the project, it could be a really amazing turn towards kick ass fight choreography.

When speaking with ComicBook.com, Stahelski had this to say:

"If the opportunity ever came, I would like to take a stab at...the one that really jumps out to me would be like Blade. If they were going to redo Blade or something like that, just because I feel that one, for some reason, the vampire martial art action vibe. That would be a cool one to stretch and try and reinvent."
