Despite his next movie, Monster Hunter starring Milla Jovovich being delayed from September 2020 to April 2021, director Paul W.S. Anderson says that the project is completely finished. With rumors running rampant that the movie had hit some snags in post-production, it's now been announced that the film is 100 percent complete and ready to hit cinemas on its new date that was obviously caused by the coronavirus smackdown. Moving on from the critically savaged Resident Evil series, Anderson and Jovovich are once again paired up for the release of his next action-centric movie. If all goes as planned, this will be another new franchise series for the couple. Anderson has debunked any speculation that the movie has hit trouble after filming:

“The movie is 100 percent finished. We were supposed to be releasing it on Labor Day weekend but we pushed it into 2021, but it’s completely done. So it’s coming out April 23 of next year. For me, it’s my most favorite movie I’ve ever made. It has a rather unique look to it.”

The film adaptation of Monster Hunter features an amazing cast that includes Jovovich, Ron Perlman, and Tony Jaa. The movie was written by Anderson and will be released by Sony Pictures in partnership with Constantin Film and Impact Pictures. This will be Anderson's second foray into bringing a video game to the theatrical screen.
