Earlier
today Warner Brothers officially announced one of their most requested titles,
the 2006 science-fiction thriller V for Vendetta, will finally be making
it’s long-awaited debut on a deluxe 4K UHD boxed set. Conceived by the Wachowskis and directed by
James McTeigue and starring Natalie Portman, Hugo Weaving, Stephen Rea, Stephen
Fry and John Hurt, the film set in a futuristic totalitarian Britain tells the
story of Evey (Portman), a young woman rescued by a masked vigilante dubbed “V”
(Hugo Weaving). Quickly V begins a
revolution against the government and the film becomes an epic battle of good and
evil. The film is slated for release on
November 3rd and will feature a plethora of extras and a collectible
boxed set package!
