Producer Jon Landau posted to Instagram with some updates on the upcoming sequel to Avatar. After years of waiting, James Cameron is finally returning to the universe he created with several films that will continue the story of the characters from the first film. With multiple delays and an extremely patient Cameron waiting to advance his film technology even further, the production is now in full swing. The movie has been pushed back and is set to open in theaters on December 22, 2022. Landau has teased the filming with some new set photos that show the the RDA Security Operations team in action. Check out the photos below. And continue to wait for the sequel to a movie that came out in 2009. A 13 year gap between movies may end up proving to be too long as interest has definitely waned in the project.
