Return to The West Wing: Reunion Episode To Appear On HBO MAX, Date Revealed

In a year that's seen utter disappointment for the entertainment industry as a whole, we also keep getting announcements for revivals of old series that make us long for the old days of excellent dramatic shows on the three big outlets. Nostalgia is always comforting. Now, in a tumultuous year of politics, one of the biggest shows about the White House will be making its grand return in a one off show that is now set to appear on the HBO streaming outlet, HBO MAX. The series originally began airing in 1999 and won 26 Emmys in its 7 season run. Aaron Sorkin is helping bring it back for one special night that will basically be a reading of the season 3 episode "Hartsfield Landing". 

The one off reunion will say series regulars Martin Sheen, Rob Lowe, Allison Janney, Richard Schiff, Bradley Whitford and more return to their characters for the presentation. The show will air on October 15th and will benefit Michelle Obama's When We Vote initiative and hopes to raise money for thee organization. 

They'll also be airing a special acoustic version of The West Wing's theme music when it screens just two weeks before the election.
