We have officially entered a strange timeline where former action stars and iconic actors are joining streaming television series. The latest to sign on the dotted line is Arnold Schwarzenegger. The star of the long running Terminator series and dozens of other action flicks will be taking on the lead role in a new spy centered series for Skydance, which is currently shopping the project to numerous streaming services. The show which is created by Nick Santora (Scorpion, The Fugitive) will be about a global adventure that features a father and daughter team. Arnold will be the dad, but no one has been cast in the role of his offspring quite yet.
This will be Schwarzenegger's latest project for the Skydance production banner. The label put out the past two Terminator movies, Genisys and Dark Fate. They seem to have a great creative relationship with the physically fit actor. This will be Arnold's first ever starring role in a television series, even though he's had cameos in several shows over the span of his career.
With Terminator on ice for the moment, this could be a new path for his career. Hopefully this ends up happening.
