The Dead Still Roam: The Walking Dead Gets Two More Spinoffs

It's that time again where we finally have a piece of news that isn't about something getting delayed by the Covid-19 crisis. While everything else is slowly starting to reopen, studios are developing and looking into whatever they can make when things get back to normal again. Yep, these stories will keep happening as the world tries to return to normal. This time, it's about the future of The Walking Dead franchise.

As you may have heard, The Walking Dead will walk off into the sunset in 2022 after a supersized final season. But what will happen next? Will there be no more zombies on AMC besides Fear the Walking Dead or The Walking Dead: World Beyond? Absolutely not.

Coupled with today's announcement about the end of The Walking Dead came the revelation that there are two more spin-offs on the way. One is an untitled series about fan favorites Daryl and Carol and their continued adventures through the zombie apocalypse. Walking Dead writers Angela Kang and Scott Gimple will produce the series for AMC.

The other is an anthology series entitled Tales of The Walking Dead. Tales will focus on old and new characters in stories that are meant to explore and expand the universe of the show. Both shows are set to come out in 2023. In addition to these shows, there is still the three Rick Grimes movies in development at Universal Pictures.

So fret not Walking Dead fans, there will be plenty of Walking Dead content to enjoy for years and years to come.
