Breaking The Bat: Matt Reeves The Batman To Shoot Until February 2021

The Batman has faced an unrelenting amount of delays that have pushed the film's production back into the next year. Prior to the COVID-19 outbreak, the movie had already been put through the ringer. After Ben Affleck exited as the director and star, Matt Reeves took over the movie and has been faced with a ton of continuous setbacks, the worst being the pandemic. Initially meant to complete filming in mid-2020, production was shut down several times due to the virus and when it finally got back into working status it was delayed again due to Robert Pattinson getting sick. Now, while it's finally firing on all cylinders, filming will not complete until February 2021 which is very close to when it would have been released in theaters.

Some shooting has taken place in Chicago but most of it has been in London, where they're currently working on principal photography. Colin Farrell has been working on his scenes currently.

The Batman was originally set to premiere in theaters in June 2021 but has now been pushed to March 2022. Hopefully we can start to see some momentum with a cure or a vaccine so people will feel comfortable heading back to the cineplexes. Prior to the major delay only 25% of filming had been completed. Now, we just hope that they can get it done because this movie looks damn awesome so far.
