Glow No More: Netflix Cancels One of Their Best

It's a sad day in the world of streaming television as Netflix has officially pulled the plug on one of their best shows. While Stranger Things earned a final season, it looks like the semi-comedic female wrestling show wasn't quite as lucky. As the COVID-19 pandemic continues to fuel the delay and cancellation of tons of media projects, it's been announced that GLOW has been axed by the streaming giant. For some reason they've decided that the series will not go ahead with the planned fourth and final year, officially axing the production from their upcoming slate. Although it's a sad state of affairs for an amazing show, season three did seem to end at a decent point that didn't really require further episodes or more story.

The show which was based on the real Gorgeous Ladies of Wrestling was a sleeper hit for the outlet and starred Alison Brie, Betty Gilpin, and Marc Maron. Maron responded to the news by simply stating it "stinks". For all lovers of the show, we really hope to see a reprieve at some point in the future when getting everyone in front of a camera again might be an easier thing. But it sounds like Netflix has made a final decision about their best female led show. They're also reporting that the show was too close for comfort due to social distancing guidelines and really couldn't move ahead because of its close quarters type of content.

We'll hold out hope that we get to see the ladies again at some point.
