It's that time again where we finally have a piece of news that isn't about something getting delayed by the Covid-19 crisis. While everything else is slowly starting to reopen, studios are developing and looking into whatever they can make when things get back to normal again. Yep, these stories will keep happening as the world tries to return to normal. This time, it's about the Don't Breathe sequel.
The Blind Man himself, Stephen Lang, posted on Twitter that he has wrapped on the sequel to the 2016 Fede Alvarez hit Don't Breathe. Alvarez has not returned to direct the sequel. It instead was directed by Rodo Sayagues, who co-wrote the original film and the Evil Dead remake with Alvarez. Sony and Screen Gems are set to distribute the film.
There is no official synopsis for the sequel but rumors say that the Blind Man will be the protagonist of the film this time around. Apparently, the Blind Man has managed to live a secluded existence with a young girl in a cabin since the events of the first film. That is until his past we can imagine catches up with him. Weird to see the villain of the first film become the protagonist but stranger things have happened. We will watch this with great interest.
