To the Max: Green Lantern Series Confirmed for HBO Max

It's that time again where we finally have a piece of news that isn't about something getting delayed by the Covid-19 crisis. While everything else is slowly starting to reopen, studios are developing and looking into whatever they can make when things get back to normal again. Yep, these stories will keep happening as the world tries to return to normal. This time, we are learning more about the Green Lantern show on HBO Max.

Prior to today’s confirmation, this series was just something that was in the ether. We knew DC and Warner Brothers wanted to do something with the Green Lantern franchise but we didn’t exactly know what it would be. And now, we have some idea of what it will be.

The first season of the series will be 10 episodes and it is unclear whether it will be a standalone show or connect to the greater DCEU. Like the Arrowverse shows, Greg Berlanti will produce this series and Seth Grahame-Smith will show run the series.

The series will feature several famous lanterns like Guy Gardner, Alan Scott, Jessica Cruz, and Simon Baz. Sinestro and KilNo word on why Hal Jordan or John Stewart aren’t in the series but I’m sure we will find out later. This series is shaping up to be Berlanti’s and WB’s most expensive show so we can’t wait to see what they do with that money and that talent.
