Raising Hell: Is a Constantine Sequel Coming?

It's that time again where we finally have a piece of news that isn't about something getting delayed by the Covid-19 crisis. While everything else is slowly starting to reopen, studios are developing and looking into whatever they can make when things get back to normal again. Yep, these stories will keep happening as the world tries to return to normal. This time, we are learning about a potential sequel to the 2005 film, Constantine.

While there have been whispers of a sequel for years, we were never given a solid answer about what could happen next. We've heard that J.J. Abrams was interested in producing a new take on Constantine. We've also heard that Keanu Reeves and director Francis Lawrence were interested. We have heard not much outside of some Comic-Con reunion panels and internet whispers. Until now.

One of the film's cast members, Peter Stormare, took to Instagram to either announce a long awaited sequel or stir the pot. He has posted an image of himself as Lucifer in Constantine on Instagram with the accompanying caption "Sequel In The Works." If this is true or a post meant to drum hype, this would be the first cast member of the original film to officially acknowledge that a sequel is happening. Hopefully, this is more than wishful thinking but a real movie.
