With the latest PlayStation offering of “Marvel's Spider-Man: Miles Morales”, and the rise in popularity of “Spider-man: Into The Spider-verse', the star of both titles was bound to get more attention in the collectible market.
Starting off with the video game, Miles takes center stage as the main protagonist in the latest installment and it's looking just as impressive as the first game, with reviews praising the established game play and graphics. Along side that, high end collectible manufacturer Hot Toys has made their 1/6 scale Miles Morales figure directly after the in-game visuals. An incredible likeness (although no unmasked head) with interchangeable eye pieces, several hands, web effects, Venom Blast effects parts, a backpack with optional Spider-cat, display stand with logo, plus a beanie, scarf, and leg warmers for those cold NYC nights! Touting high pose-ability and detailed paint work, this figure looks stunning and has more options than you can swing a crime-lord at!
Now if Hot Toys isn't your bag and the Spider-verse version is more in line with what you'd like, the 1/12 scale has you covered! Last July, Mafex announced their version of Miles Morales with another plethora of options. Not only are there interchangeable heads with partial and unmasked versions, along with hands and webbing, but a cloth jacket, hoodie, and shorts. Including a pair of trainers that could be swapped out and a display stand, you've got style options for this figure that fit right in with his onscreen portrayal. This should be hitting online retailers in December of this year, with most pre-orders already up.
And to round out your options, Hasbro just announced their Spider-verse wave for the Marvel Legends series. You can grab a Peter B. Parker in his slovenly style, Gwen Stacy aka Ghost-Spider with Spider-Ham, Miles Morales, and Prowler from the Spider-verse movie. These should hit shelves around early next year. The rest of the wave is comic versions of Frog Man, Hand Ninja, and Build-A-Figure Stilt Man.
