The Star Wars galaxy on Disney+ is continuing to make forward momentum. With The Mandalorian a major hit for the streaming media giant, the conglomerate is readying more new series based in the Star Wars universe with the Cassian Andor show the latest to start filming. Star Diego Luna has confirmed on Jimmy Kimmel  Live that the Rogue One prequel series about Cassian Andor is finally heading to production. The new episodic adventure will take place before the events of Rogue One and will feature Andor and his droid K2S0 in another series that will hit Disney+ in the near future.

Luna says the new series will be "everything you have to know to understand Rogue One". It will show the early rise of the Rebellion and will "explore tales filled with espionage and daring missions to restore hope to a galaxy in the grip of the ruthless Empire". Toby Haynes (Black Mirror) has taken over as show runner as Tony Gilroy was forced to leave the project due to COVID-19 travel restrictions. Obviously, we're looking forward to seeing how they go with this. This could add another cool layer to the years before A New Hope. We're excited to hear it's finally underway after a couple years of development and delays.
