To say we were a little choked up by Luke's return to Star Wars on The Mandalorian wouldn't do it justice. It was the first time we've seen the younger version of the character on screen since 1983's Return of the Jedi. As he boarded the ship and wiped out a whole lot of Dark Troopers, we were reminded of the Luke we used to know while it echoed the end scene of Darth Vader in Rogue One. Dave Filoni and Jon Favreau know exactly how to play to their fans, and those of us that experienced the originals in theaters when we were kids. Now, Mark Hamill has taken to Twitter to respond to the positive reaction from fans. The actor is just overwhelmed with the response the finale got and shows his love by sending us all a message via social media:
