Galactic News: Kevin Feige's Upcoming Star Wars Movie Taps Loki Writer

Back in 2019 it was announced that Kevin Feige would be taking up a Star Wars movie for Disney. While many other major news items have hit regarding the galaxy far, far away over the last couple months, there had been no new announcements about the Feige project. Now word has dropped via Deadline that Feige has officially tapped Loki and Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness writer Michael Waldron to pen the movie. Apparently they've made an "unprecedented overall deal" with the writer that will see him continue on with Disney for years to come and will keep him on board for a second season of Loki which will be available on their streaming service Disney+.

There are no details about the Feige headed Star Wars movie yet but some have estimated that his movie may take place during The High Republic era which takes place long before the prequel series. However, that's just pure speculation at this point. Waldron has a history of excellent projects including his work on the popular animated series Rick and Morty for which he won an Emmy.

We'll update as we hear more.
